🏆 Registration Info & Eligibility

• Grades: Kindergarten – 6th Grade (Co-Ed)
• Residency: Must reside in Mentor or neighboring communities
• Weight Classes: 45–175 lbs
• Requirements: Copy of birth certificate for age verification
• Registration Base Fee: $155.00
• Local league registration: $5.00
• USA Wrestling membership & insurance: $30.00
• Program administration, equipment, & certifications: $120.00

This registration session will allow you to:

• Enter contact information
• Sign up your child for team participation
• Complete all required waivers
• Submit payment through our secure portal

🤼 Season & Skill Levels

• Season: October through February / March
• Practice Location: Mentor High School (Aux Gym) and/or Mentor-on-the-Lake Gym
• Practice Schedule: 2–4 times per week in the evenings
• League Meets: Sunday mornings (approx. 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM). Travel required (Madison, Chardon, South, Riverside, & Cardinal)

Program Skill Levels

• Beginner: First-year and developing wrestlers (Base Fee + Fundraiser)
• Intermediate: Building technique and competitiveness (Base Fee + Fundraiser + $45)
• Advanced: Experienced, competition-focused wrestlers (Base Fee + Fundraiser + $95)

Family Discount

• Sibling Discount: Register your first child, then email mentoryouthwrestlingclub@gmail.com with their name to receive a discount code for additional children.

• End-of-Year Banquet: Meal, certificates, and gift (Swag bags for 6th graders) – $30 value
• Custom Team Crewneck: Sweatshirt for each wrestler – $30 value

🎒 Equipment & Gear Requirements

Required Gear

• Singlet: ~ $65 (purchased through the team store)
• Wrestling Shoes: No street shoes (Limited loaners available through the club)
• Headgear: Required for competition (Loaners available)
• Athletic Clothing: T-shirt/compression shirt & athletic shorts (no zippers or pockets)
• Mouthguard: Required if the athlete has braces
• Water Bottle: Reusable and labeled with child's name

🙋 Volunteer Commitment

Each family is asked to complete 5–10 hours of volunteer service (e.g., setup/cleanup, admissions, concessions, scorekeeping, or fundraising).

Mentor Youth Wrestling Club is a community-driven program, and we rely on our families’ support to ensure a successful season for our wrestlers.

🕒 Volunteer Commitment

• Each family is asked to complete 5–10 hours of volunteer service throughout the season.
• Volunteer roles may include set-up/clean-up, admissions, concessions, scorekeeping, helping with various jobs at our fundraise, and more.
• Your time makes a real impact — volunteering helps us keep costs down and creates a positive experience for all of our kids.

We have the following positions open:

✅ 1. Concessions Chair / Coordinator

Oversees food & drink sales at events and home meets.

✅ 2. Fundraising Chair

Helps organize fundraisers, seek sponsorships, and assist with raffles or spirit wear sales.

✅ 3. Volunteer Coordinator

Recruits, organizes, and communicates with parent volunteers to ensure events run smoothly.

✅ 4. Sponsorship Chair

Seeks and manages local business sponsorships and partnerships.

✅ 5. Photographer / Media Chair

Captures photos at practices and events and shares them for the club’s website and social media.

✅ 6. Merchandise / Spirit Wear Chair

Manages team gear orders and apparel sales.

Your help in any of these roles keeps our club strong, our costs down, and our season successful for every wrestler. 🙌
